Patrington Side Extension Project
Case Study: Patrington Side Extension Project
Location: Patrington
Scope: 2D and 3D Design
Our team was commissioned to explore design options for a side extension to a property in Patrington. The client requested a design that would enhance the property’s layout and integrate views onto the garden, creating a space that would be both functional and visually appealing. Given the historical character of the property, it was essential to develop a design that aligned with the guidelines set by the local conservation team.
We began by creating a range of 2D layouts and 3D visualisations to help the client envision various configurations and styles. The designs were carefully crafted to respect the architectural heritage of the property, with particular attention to materials, proportions, and detailing that complemented the original structure. Large windows were strategically incorporated to frame the garden views and create a bright, airy atmosphere in the new space.
Our final design was successfully approved by the local planning authority, meeting both the client’s needs and the conservation team’s requirements. This side extension not only provides additional living space but also enhances the property’s connection to its garden, achieving a harmonious balance between modern functionality and historic integrity.
